JennAir JGS1450F Black Floating Glass slide-in Gas Range Repair

The JGS1450F is a 30-inch slide-in gas range from the Black Floating Glass line. Data plates reading JGS1450FB, JGS1450FP or JGS1450FS belong to the same family, and all of them are set flush with the counters in a remodeled kitchen.
On a slide-in gas range the burners sit close to the countertop, so spills reach the burner heads and igniters quickly. We start by lifting the caps, clearing the ports and testing the spark. Then we turn to the oven igniter and the door seal, which together decide how fast the oven comes up to heat. If we find a gas smell during the visit, we stop and ask you to leave while the gas utility is called. We give a written price before ordering parts, with a 30-day warranty on the work.
The ending letters mark the version, such as FB, FP or FS. The service steps are alike, but we match parts to the full number on the data plate, so please have it ready when you call.
A weak oven igniter often glows but fails to open the gas valve fully, so the flame drops out. We test its current draw and replace it if it has lost strength.
Not for cap, port and igniter work, which is done from above. For the gas valves or the rear connection we slide the range forward, and we explain that beforehand.
Book in about a minute, or call the desk. Same-day windows inside the Loop on most days, next-day across the rest of Houston.
