On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges such as the JES1750FS or JGRP430WP, code 4d11 means the oven door latch assembly, the door switch, or the wiring to them may have a problem. The control cannot confirm whether the door is closed or locked. You will see the code and the oven may refuse to heat or to start a clean cycle.
1. Let the oven cool. 2. Open the door fully, then close it firmly without slamming. 3. Check the door seal and the opening for foil, pan handles or debris. 4. Press Cancel, then shut the breaker off for about a minute. 5. If 4d11 returns, stop using the oven and call us.
The control checks the door state before and during heating, and especially before a clean cycle. If it cannot confirm that state, it stops and shows 4d11.
A closed door can still fail to trip the switch, or the latch may not have turned. The control only trusts the signal it receives, not what you see.
In most cases, yes. We inspect the latch, switch and wiring, quote the price in writing, and back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
