JennAir ranges such as the JDS1750ML and JIS1450DS can show 9d52 when the oven door latch assembly, the door switch, or the wiring between them may have a problem. The control did not get a clean door reading, so it stops any heating. You may notice the clock gone and the code in its place. The code appears in place of the clock.
1. Cool the oven. 2. Check that the door sits flush and that the gap is free of debris. 3. Press Cancel. 4. Cycle the breaker off for one minute. 5. Call us if 9d52 returns, and keep the oven off until then.
Close the door gently, keep the edge free of spills and foil, and do not lean on the open door. These help, but a failing latch will still need repair.
Yes. The door latch and switch exist on gas, electric and dual-fuel ranges, so the code applies to all of them. Gas smell is a separate matter: leave and call the utility.
