For older JennAir ranges such as the JDR8895AAS and JDS8850AAB, F02 carries the same meaning as F01: there may be a problem with the oven temperature sensor, the control, or the associated wiring. You will usually see it when you start a bake or broil, and the oven either never heats or quits early with the code on the display.
1. Cancel the cycle and give the oven time to cool. 2. Cut power at the breaker for about a minute, then switch it back on. 3. Run a short bake and see if the code shows up again. 4. Check that racks and foil are not touching the sensor probe at the back of the cavity. Repeated codes mean the sensor circuit needs testing by a technician.
The official wording is identical, so they are treated the same: sensor, control or wiring. Which one it is only shows up when the circuit is tested.
We would not. If the oven cannot read its own temperature, results are unpredictable and it may overheat. Use the cooktop or another oven in the meantime.
We check the sensor and wiring on the first trip and bring common sensors. Controls are quoted and ordered after you approve the price. If a connector is the only problem, the repair is usually quick and the price reflects that.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
