On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges such as the JES1750FS and JIS1450DS, F2 E0 means there may be a problem with the user interface or keypad, the control, or the associated wiring. This is the first of a family of F2 E-codes that share one description. The panel may beep, freeze, or show the code while heat functions stop.
1. Press Cancel and make sure the panel is dry and clean. 2. Turn the breaker off for one minute and then on. 3. Tap each key once and see if the display responds. 4. Do not remove the control panel. If F2 E0 returns, call us.
They share one description, but F2 E1 also asks you to check the cooktop grates on these ranges. F2 E0 is the plain keypad and control version. That distinction matters, so we check grates only when the display asks for it.
If the panel is frozen, switch the range off at the breaker, which always stops the heat. When you switch it back on, the control restarts and may accept keys again, but a returning code still needs testing.
Heat, moisture and age are the usual reasons. Spills can creep behind the panel, and years of heating cycles wear the contacts. We find which one applies by testing the panel and its wiring.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
