What F3 E2 means

On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges like the JES1750FS and JDS1750ML, F3 E2 means there may be a problem with the oven temperature sensor, the warming drawer sensor if the range has one, or the associated wiring. If your range has no warming drawer, the oven sensor and wiring are the suspects. The oven or drawer function stops and the display shows the code.

Common causes of F3 E2

  • Oven temperature sensor with a bad reading
  • Warming drawer sensor on ranges that include a drawer
  • Loose or damaged sensor wiring
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Press Cancel and remove anything from the warming drawer if you have one. 2. Let the oven and drawer cool. 3. Cut power at the breaker for a minute and restore it. 4. Try the oven and the drawer separately, noting which one brings the code back. Share that with us when you call.

! Why to stop there
  • Two possible sensors means we must test both circuits.
  • The drawer area has wiring that owners should not open.
  • You approve the price in writing and get a 30-day workmanship warranty.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

F3 E2F3 E2 questions
My range has no warming drawer. Does F3 E2 still apply?

Yes, but then the oven sensor and its wiring are the focus, because the drawer sensor is only on ranges that include a drawer. Trying each function separately tells us which sensor is reporting, which speeds up the repair.

How do I know which part failed?

Trying the oven and drawer separately gives a clue, but only measurement confirms it. Measuring the circuit gives the certain answer, so we do that on site.

Is it urgent?

It is not an emergency, but stop using the affected function and book within a few days. Note whether the oven or the drawer brought the code back, because that detail shortens the visit.
