On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges with electronic oven control, such as the JDS1750ML or JDRP548W, F6 E3 means the Appliance Manager or its wiring may have a problem, and there can be a variety of reasons behind it. Unlike F6 E0, this version does not name the oven control. The code stays on the display, and some range functions may be unavailable.
1. Turn off the cooktop and oven controls. 2. Reset the range's power at the breaker for one minute, then switch it back on. 3. Look at the display after restart and see if F6 E3 returns. 4. If it does, call us without running further cycles, and tell us the code exactly as shown.
The Appliance Manager and its wiring can be affected in several ways. That is why a technician tests the circuit step by step rather than assuming one part is responsible.
They are neighbors. F6 E0 includes the oven control as a suspect, while F6 E3 points only to the Appliance Manager and its wiring, so the starting point of the test is different.
We check the manager and its connections, tell you what we found, and give a written price before any work. Repairs come with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
