On JennAir ranges with electronic oven control and Wi-Fi, such as the JES1750FS or JIS1450DS, FC E7 means the appliance did not connect to your router. The advice is to power the range down at the breaker for one minute, power it up, start a cycle and watch for a minute. The wireless router should also be reset. There is no link between the router and the range until that works.
1. Switch off the range's circuit breaker for one minute, then back on. 2. Start a cycle and watch the display for one minute. 3. Reset your wireless router and wait until its lights are steady. 4. Try the connection again and check the range operates normally.
The guidance is to start a cycle after powering up, then monitor the range for one minute to see that the code does not display again before you call it fixed.
The range and the router are not connected, so connected features are unavailable. Resetting the wireless router is part of the fix and costs nothing to try.
The wording differs slightly: E7 says the appliance did not connect, and asks for a router reset. The first steps are similar, but the code tells us which check ended the attempt.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
