On JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges such as the JES1750FS and JDS1750ML, FEE7 says there may be a problem with the main cavity broil element or the associated wiring. The control tries to energize the broil element at the top of the oven and cannot confirm that it did. Broiling fails and the display shows FEE7. Surface cooking is unaffected.
1. Press Cancel and wait for the oven to cool fully. 2. Look at the broil element at the top of the cavity for a break or blistered spot. 3. Cut power at the breaker for a minute and restore it. 4. Try broil for a few minutes. If it doesn't glow, call us.
Often yes, since the code names the broil side only, but the control may stop any cycle that triggers it. Try a plain bake, and if it runs, you can still cook while you wait.
A break or blister is a strong hint, though terminals and wiring can fail without any visible damage. A clean-looking element does not rule out the broil circuit.
FEE6 is the bake element along the bottom of the oven and FEE7 is the broil element at the top, so each code sends us to a different heater and its own wiring.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
