On JennAir built-in microwaves and microwave drawers, including combination wall oven microwave cavities like the JMC2430LL, the words Locked, Lock, or Loc mean the Control Lock is on. The control lock shuts down the panel so nothing runs by accident. When any pad is pressed, the display shows the message and invalid-entry tones sound. It is a setting, not a malfunction.
1. Unlock the oven control as your unit's control instructions describe, usually by holding a pad for a few seconds. 2. Unlock the oven door too, if that function is active on your unit. 3. Press Cancel and set your cycle again. 4. If the message will not clear, call us.
Almost never. The Control Lock is a feature that disables the panel on purpose. It is cleared with a short hold on a pad, not with tools.
While the control is locked, every pad press is treated as invalid entry, so the unit beeps and shows Locked, Lock, or Loc. Unlocking removes the message.
Try a breaker reset. If the message stays or comes back by itself, the keypad may be failing and we will quote the repair in writing.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
