On JennAir built-in microwaves and combination wall ovens with a microwave cavity, for instance the JMC2430DS, F7 E2 flags a possible problem with the Water Level or Water Level Sensor, or the associated wiring. The control cannot confirm how much water is available. You will see the code, and water-assisted cooking may refuse to start until the issue is addressed.
1. Check that any water container is full and clicked fully into place. 2. Empty and refill it with fresh water if the water looks cloudy. 3. Clear the code with Cancel and cycle the breaker for one minute. 4. If F7 E2 still appears, call us and avoid water-based modes.
The sensor, not the water, may be the problem. If the control cannot read the level, it reports the code even when the container is full.
Descaling is part of regular care for water systems, but F7 E2 usually points to the sensor or wiring. Do it only as your instructions direct.
Most sensor repairs take one visit once the part is on hand. A 30-day workmanship warranty covers our work. Please make sure the water container, if any, is full before we arrive.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
