On JennAir ranges with an oven meat probe, such as the JDRP548W or JES1750FS, 3d41 asks you to verify the probe is securely inserted in the meat probe receptacle. The location varies by model. It is the third entry of this probe family, after 3d31 and 3d32, and it appears when the control cannot read the probe. Normal timed baking is not the part that is affected.
1. Let the oven cool. 2. Unplug the probe and inspect the metal plug end. 3. Wipe it dry, then seat it firmly in the receptacle. 4. Press Cancel and start the probe cycle again. 5. If 3d41 keeps showing, stop and call us.
Normally only probe cooking is affected. Press Cancel and set a normal timed Bake if you need to. If the code still blocks the oven, call us.
A probe made for your model is a fair first try if yours is worn. If the receptacle is the cause, the new probe will give the same code and we should check it.
Push until you feel it stop and cannot pull it out by light tugging. The plug should sit flush. If it does and the code stays, the connection itself needs a look.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
