The F1 E2 code on JennAir electric, gas and dual-fuel ranges, for example the JIS1450DS, indicates a possible problem with the oven control or the associated wiring. The control shows F1 and E2 in turns, then locks out oven operation. You might notice the oven did not warm up and the clock was replaced by the flashing code. The message is general, so the board and its connections both need a proper look.
1. Press Cancel and give it a few seconds. 2. Flip the range breaker off, wait sixty seconds, then flip it on. 3. Preheat to 350 degrees as a quick test. 4. If F1 E2 returns, stop and call us. 5. Keep the oven empty until the technician has had a chance to check it.
It is a control-level code, so treat it as a real repair. The oven is stopped for protection, and the problem will not go away by itself if the board or wiring is failing.
Both point to the oven control or its wiring. The second part is the control's detail, and we use it with testing on site to pinpoint what to fix.
We schedule Houston visits in 3-hour windows. Tell us the model and code, and we confirm a time. Repairs include a written price first and a 30-day workmanship warranty.
