JennAir Range Code F1-L: Oven sensor reading problem

What F1-L means

JennAir electric and gas ranges with the older display, for example the JES1750FS or JGRP430WP, show F1-L when the oven temperature sensor, the control or the wiring may have a problem. The trailing L is simply part of the displayed code. Baking stops, the oven cools, and the code replaces the time of day. A technician narrows down the cause by testing each part in turn.

1. Let the oven cool fully. 2. Press Cancel. 3. Leave the range without power for one minute, then restore it. 4. Try one short Bake. 5. If F1-L is back, stop using the oven and call us. The sensor and its wiring are not meant for owner repair.
