What F3 E0 means

On JennAir ranges with electronic oven control, such as the JES1750FS, JDS1750ML or JGRP430WP, F3 E0 says the oven temperature sensor, the control, or the wiring tied to them may have a problem. The control relies on that sensor to know how hot the cavity is. Without a reliable reading it displays F3 E0 and may stop heating or end the cycle.

Common causes of F3 E0

  • The oven temperature sensor is not giving a normal reading
  • The control that reads the sensor is misreading it
  • Wiring between the sensor and the control is loose or damaged
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Switch the oven off and let it cool for 30 minutes. 2. Turn the range breaker off for a minute, then back on, to clear a one-time glitch. 3. Look inside for anything touching the sensor probe at the back of the cavity and take out loose items. 4. If F3 E0 returns on the next heat-up, stop and call us.

! Why to stop there
  • An oven running without a good temperature reading can overheat or undercook.
  • The sensor, the control and the wiring all give the same code, and only a measurement says which.
  • We quote the price before work, so you are not guessing at a part.
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

F3 E0F3 E0 questions
What does the oven temperature sensor do?

It tells the control how hot the cavity is so the oven can hold your set temperature. A bad reading throws off heating, which is why the control raises F3 E0.

Why does the oven stop heating?

If the control cannot trust the sensor, it ends the cycle for safety rather than guess. The code stays until the reading is back to normal or a technician finds the cause.

Does a breaker reset fix F3 E0?

It can clear a one-time glitch. If the code appears again as soon as you heat the oven, the sensor, control or wiring still needs testing. We will explain the finding before pricing a repair.
