JES1450ML

JennAir JES1450ML RISE slide-in Electric Range Service

JennAir range

Most common issues on this model

  1. Surface element not heating or cycling off early
  2. Oven bake element or temperature sensor drifting
  3. Door hinge or gasket wear letting heat escape
  4. Self-clean lock not releasing

The JES1450ML is a 30-inch electric slide-in range from JennAir’s RISE line with a stainless steel finish. A slide-in sits flush with the countertop edges, so these are normally found in remodeled kitchens where the range is a visible centerpiece between two runs of cabinets.

Because the cooktop sits right at counter level, spills and heavy pans wear on the surface elements and their terminals over the years. When we visit, we start at the cooktop elements and the control that feeds them, then move to the oven: sensor reading, bake element, and the door seal. If the oven has a locked-door problem after a clean cycle, we look at the latch motor and switch next. The price is written down and approved by you before we order anything.

JES1450MLJES1450ML questions
The surface element on my JES1450ML clicks and glows unevenly. Is it dangerous?

Uneven glow often means a worn element or a loose terminal, and a loose terminal can overheat. Stop using that zone until we inspect the connection, test the element and quote the replacement.

Does a slide-in electric range like the JES1450ML need to be pulled out for service?

Often yes, for the rear wiring and the oven parts. We slide it forward carefully, protect your floor, and push it back flush with the counters. Clear the cabinets beside it before we arrive if you can.

My oven door will not unlock after cleaning. What is wrong?

The door latch motor or its switch has usually stopped moving, sometimes after the oven did not cool fully. We test the latch circuit and replace the part that fails, then confirm the lock cycles properly.
