JennAir JGRP436WP Pro-Style Gas Range service, 36-inch

The JGRP436WP is a 36-inch Pro-Style gas range with a commercial-style look and MultiMode convection in the oven. It is most often set into a wide opening beside tall cabinetry and under a ventilation hood, since a range of this size throws off real heat.
Because the burners are open to spills and the oven carries a convection fan, we split the visit in two. On the cooktop we check the caps, ports, igniters and valves. In the oven we listen to the fan, read the sensor and look at the door seal. Gas ranges of this type reward a regular cleaning of the burner heads, and we show you what we found. You approve a written price first, and our work is warrantied for 30 days.
A yellow or lopsided flame usually means spillover has clogged the ports or the cap is not seated. We clean and realign it, then check the igniter and gas valve if the flame still looks wrong.
Yes. A roaring fan usually has a worn bearing or an unbalanced blade, and we can replace the motor or blade. We check the fan wiring and the oven sensor at the same time.
Knobs that turn stiffly or without a click point to valve wear or grease inside the stem. We do not recommend forcing them; we can inspect the valve and quote the repair.
