JennAir JIS1450DS Induction Range Repair

The JIS1450DS is an induction slide-in with a true convection oven above a baking drawer, 7.1 cu. ft. in total. It is all-electric, so the work is about power electronics and sensors instead of igniters and gas valves, and it usually sits flush between base cabinets.
When an induction zone drops out, we start with the cookware, because a pan that is not magnetic or sits off-center will not register. Then we test the zone itself, the cooling fan beneath it and the power board, since heat is the enemy of induction electronics. For the oven, we check the sensor and convection fan, and we look at the AquaLift cycle if residue is staying on the floor of the cavity.
You receive a written price before work begins and a 30-day workmanship warranty when we finish.
Not necessarily. Overheating protection, an undersized pan or a blocked cooling fan can all shut a zone down. We test those first, then the zone and power board if the cause is not found.
Heavy buildup, a poor setup or a drifting sensor can limit the cycle. We watch a cycle, check the oven sensor and the door seal, and tell you what needs repair.
Induction needs magnetic cookware, such as cast iron or magnetic stainless steel. If a pan will not register, hold a magnet to the bottom before calling us.
