The JennAir range line includes dual-fuel models with gas burners and an electric oven, all-gas versions, and induction ranges with a smooth top. Most pro-style units weigh a great deal, include a convection fan, and feature sealed or open burners with heavy cast grates.

Houston cooks lean on these ranges for long gatherings, and grease, humidity and spilled food all work against them. Burner ports clog, igniters weaken, and an oven door seal slowly flattens from daily use. Propane homes add a regulator that can matter as much as the range itself.

We check the gas supply, the burner ports, the igniter, the oven sensor and the door seal first, then explain what we found before touching a repair.

05Range questions
Why does my range burner click and not light?

Clicking usually means the spark module is working while the burner port is blocked, wet or misaligned. We clean the port, check the cap and test the igniter before replacing anything.

Can you convert my range between natural gas and propane?

A conversion needs the correct kit and a leak test, and it should only be done by a trained technician. We can inspect your setup and tell you what the range needs.

Why is my oven hotter in the back than the front?

Uneven heating can come from a tired sensor, a weak convection fan or a door that no longer seals. We measure the oven against a separate thermometer and then adjust or replace the part involved.
